There's no indication whether or not !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! has the 12-cylinder engine. But you don't run across these in really good shape very often.

UPDATE: It's the V8, apparently. So, it's rubbish.

It has the V8 (not quad exhaust tips)

I'd talk them down, and buy it. Still such a cool car. It's a Bentley for less than 10k.

Yes. But not the good Bentley.

Yeah, it's more like the Volkswagen-y Bentley.

Agreed. I have always loved Phateons. Yes, it's a V8, but yes, it's also amazing. If I were you I'd do some research on it and see if it's been in an accident, flooded, etc.. Looks nice, you get so much car for the money with these.

Seriously though, this is one hell of a car. My honest automotive wet dream is to buy one and completely restore it from the ground up. I mean, new seats, new door panels, switches, all that so it looks brand new. Complete engine restoration too. Someday, someday...

Styling wise, I'm so conflicted. The back half looks meaty, stately, and refined. The front styling looks like a MkV Jetta pre-refresh. Painful. The interior, while a little dated, looks good when you're looking up close; the wood details, console layout, juuuust enough chrome accents. But somehow, when the photos pan out and you have to factor in that steering wheel, I lose all desire.

Iunno.

Who buys a Phaeton? I mean, honestly?

I've had my Phaeton for five years now, so I doubt I'd judge you. ;)

Ah. Got it. Although, to be fair, the answer to your question is, apparently, "No one."

I've been very happy with mine (V8, not a W12), so if you are ever considering buying one, I'd be glad to answer any questions!
